Job Description

JOB TITLE: Wash Bay Fuel Island Attendant

LOCATION: Houston, TX

REPORTS TO: Fleet and Fuel Services Manager

SCHEDULE: Rotating schedule, Night shift. Some overtime and some weekends will be required

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience and skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure Proper trucks are parked in the designated area
  • Vacuum, clean windows, dash, console
  • Monitor operations of cleaning machines and stop machines or notify supervisors when malfunctions occur
  • Use materials such as water, cleaning agents, brushes, and cloths
  • Keep wash bay area clean
  • Keep cleaning supplies in orderly fashion
  • Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and remove
  • Work Fuel Island
  • Fuel trucks
  • Assist in washing trucks
  • Check DEF levels, and refill if necessary
  • Park trucks after fueling and ensure inspection has been completed
  • Attend all required safety meetings
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Assist in tank set up if needed
  • Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment
  • Operate various hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor; or manager
  • Perform manual labor
  • Promote cooperation and good communication with all branch and corporate personnel
  • Unload fuel products to yard storage tanks

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum age 18
  • Locals only, must live within 60 miles of terminal
  • Dependable attendance with no unauthorized absences
  • Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
  • Valid class C driver's license
  • Must be able to operate pressure washer and vacuums
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly
  • Ability to work a variety of hours, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work with hands and arms for long periods of time
PREFERRED
  • Strong knowledge of fuel delivery equipment (trucks, pumps, etc.)
  • Experience working in a similar job
  • Experience operating power and manual tools and light and heavy equipment
  • Experience working outside in various weather conditions
