What's the Job?
The Production Planner manages the production scheduling and all related functions up to and including raw materials, using all available scheduling tools and resources to most efficiently utilize multiple plants' resources consistent with forecasts and service objectives. The Production Planner also serves as the main communication link between their plants and headquarters in the event the plant suffers extended production down time. The planner will serve as the main HQ contact and provide continuous updates until all operations are back to normal. This position will also be responsible for meeting shipping performance targets, while coordinating and working closely with the Raw Material Planners and the Transportation Department. Travel requirements include multiple visits to plants and attending planning/manufacturing conferences.
