General Purpose

Under supervision, provides on-site support of computers, associated software, printers, scanners and network devices that includes installing, modifying and repairing computer hardware/software systems and external peripherals. Interprets problems and provides technical support for hardware, software and systems. This individual provides on-site and remote support in branch and field offices.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Regular and Reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
  • Performs desktop and workstation support, PC hardware and software troubleshooting, and hardware/software installation using.
  • Provides first level technical support that may include low-to-mid level networking and application administration functions.
  • Exercises judgement and decision making in the diagnosis and resolutions of computer hardware and software problems.
  • Technically proficient in updating, configuring, and troubleshooting a diverse PC applications environment that includes, but is not limited to, suites from Microsoft, JHA, and VMWare. Individual should have knowledge of network and telephony systems and server hardware and software to be able to provide onsite support and administration; this knowledge should include protocols and services such as TCP/IP and Terminal Services.
  • Must be able to solve problems and think analytically.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • To succeed in this position, the Technical Support Analyst must be a self-starter.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with users diplomatically and skillfully.
  • Self-independence and initiative.
  • Technical knowledge of both hardware and software systems.

Education or Formal Training:

  • High School Student in Junior/Senior year minimum.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License required

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Travel to meetings and branch locations on a regular basis may be necessary.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee also may have to lift up to 25 lbs.

Starting Rate of Pay is between $16.25 and $21.25 per hour, depending on experience.
