Location: This role is onsite in Irving, TX (Address: 8400 ESTERS BLVD STE 185 IRVING, TX 75063)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift anytime between 8am - 6:30pm CST with rotational on-call shifts on Saturday/Sunday based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compounding any or all of the following: unit doses, antibiotics, TPN, chemotherapy drugs, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures
  • May compound medications using appropriate components, supplies and sterile/ventilated environment
  • May process, pack and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring drug, related supplies and patient collateral (education materials) are included
  • May also perform drug/supply ordering and inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable product, monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
  • 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician (includes hospital, sterile compounding, and/or Home Infusion)
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday for an 8-hour shift anytime between 8am - 6:30pm CST with rotational on-call shifts on Saturday/Sunday based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Certification (PTCB)
  • Previous sterile compounding experience
  • Sterile Compounding Certification
  • Knowledge of USP797/800
