nVent Thermal Management is the global leader in providing turnkey heat management solutions through our RAYCHEM and TRACER brands.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Review inquiry documents to identify competitive advantages, ascertain risks, & ensure compliance with or clarified exceptions to customer bid requests & specification requirements.

  • Participate in new business opportunity strategy development with Sales and Executive Management team.

  • Generate piping take-offs from piping isometrics and/or piping plan drawings.

  • Develop heat tracing and control preliminary designs.

  • Produce preliminary power distribution designs including wire and conduit layouts.

  • Create cost estimates inclusive of materials and labor (direct & indirect).

  • Provide clear communication of all correspondence and bid clarifications to the Estimating

  • Team to aid in customer proposal generation.

  • Facilitate final estimate review sessions with management; as required.

  • Ensure timely completion of estimating & proposal milestones.

  • Ensure comprehensive transfer of proposal/contract basis information to the Project Execution Team.


YOU HAVE:

  • University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

  • Ideally 2+ years' experience in Oil and Gas, Construction, or another related field.

  • Strong technical writing skills, with attention to detail.

  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Experience in construction such as electrical, mechanical, or insulation is a plus.
