Job Description

 

Job Description: Develop a deep understanding of what types of features and products customers are using across different stages of their MongoDB lifecycle, find pain points, and construct sophisticated statistical models to provide actionable recommendations that improve the customer experience. Broaden our view into attribution by product feature via causal inference models, better identifying health (regression detection, connection storms). Surface insights to drive executive decision making across the business and help define cross-functional concepts like customer journey usage phases. Create measurement frameworks to measure the success of each product. Conduct deep dive analysis to assess product performance and health. Serve as an analytical and technical thought partner to stakeholders across the product, analytics, data science teams. Research and implement new tooling/processes; seek out and automate existing costly manual processes. Must appear in office 3 days per week. Working from home permissible 2 days per week.

 REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

Skills: Experience and/or education must include:
  1. Programming and Data Manipulation: Deep familiarity in sharing and reviewing Python or R code using Github, deep familiarity with creating tables using SQL, experience creating automated jobs to update data tables, familiarity with Pandas package for data manipulation;
  2. Advanced Analytical Skills: Causal inference skills, which includes regression analysis, matching-based analysis, and experimental design and analysis, and Natural language processing (NLP) skills and time series econometrics skills;
  3. Machine Learning: Knowledge of machine learning packages including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or Scikit-learn;
  4. Data Management: Deep familiarity with Python or R and SQL for data creation and management as well as Tableau for data visualization; and
  5. Knowledge of classifier algorithms, including both classical regression-based approaches and machine learning-based approaches.
 
JOB SITE: 1633 Broadway, 38th Floor, New York, NY 10019; Must appear in office 3 days per week. Working from home permissible 2 days per week.
