GENERAL SUMMARY

Assists Deposit Operations by performing new account quality control reviews, ensuring branch accounts are opened correctly and in compliance with established policy and procedures. Makes oneself available to resolve branch daily issues by answering inquiries regarding overall operations, including legal, compliance and policy/procedural questions, and provide decision-making guidance as necessary. Understands the functions of systems used by the branches. Identifies resolves and/or escalates operational problems or concerns relating to functional responsibilities. Plans, organizes, and implements various small to moderate scope operations projects. Performs assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs quality control functions; conducts call-back on new accounts opened by the branches ensuring policy & procedures are followed, data entry is accurate, and proper documentation support is obtained.
  • Tracks quality issues identified through the call-back process and provides feedback to the respective branches.
  • Reports to Branch Services management on any common or thematic issues identified via the call-back process.
  • Answers branch or department inquiries on branch operations, policy/procedures, client service, compliance and training related issues. Assist in resolving any related procedural issues or complaints.
  • Assists in developing and documenting new or changes in the branch operations procedures.
  • Assists in conducting branch mini reviews, assesses operations/compliance risks, identifies deficiencies/ weaknesses, reinforces procedures, and provides necessary training.
  • Interacts in an effective and professional manner with all levels of Bank personnel, corporate and bank clients demonstrating commitment to quality client service.
  • Coordinates and reviews the branch monthly certification to ensure compliance & internal control.
  • Coordinates and participates in the monthly CSSM meeting.
  • Participates in conversion activities during mergers/acquisitions by providing operational support.
  • Performs other assignments as deemed necessary by the Bank.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: College degree in Finance/Business preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years branch operations experience required. Previous experience as an Operations Officer in a retail branch setting. Good understanding of overall banking regulations and standard practice with thorough knowledge of CIP requirements for both business and consumer accounts.
  • Skills/Ability: PC proficiency including Excel and Word. Detail oriented, strong communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to function in a team environment or work independently, display initiative, be self-motivated and adapt well to a changing environment. Bilingual (English and Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus.

$33.65 - $36.06 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
