As the HR manager you'll be the go-to person for employee-related matters, ensuring an engaged and productive workplace that contributes to the success of the business and inspirational employee experiences.

When it comes to the big picture, here is what you can expect:

  • HR Strategies: Align HR initiatives with the overall objectives of the business.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee the talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Diversity: Partner with the D&I Director to improve diversity and drive change.
  • HR System: Ensure full utilization of the HRIS to maximize productivity, streamline processes and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Benefits: Oversee benefit programs to ensure they are current and competitive.
  • Recognition and Engagement: Champion our recognition and wellness programs.
  • HR Policies: Assist in creating and enforcing fair and consistent policies. Annual review and revisions to Associate Handbook, and development of new policies as necessary.
  • Onboarding and Training: Lead the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation to the business and other engagement strategies.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal requirements throughout human resource management.
  • Manager Support and Employee Relations: Help to resolve employee issues and concerns.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the HR team, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.

Your skills and abilities:

  • Proven Experience: Working experience as an HR Manager or related.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement HR strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate confidently and clearly, both in-person and in writing.
  • Analytical Skills: Knowledge and use of HR metrics for decision-making.
  • Knowledge of HR Law: Ensure compliance with employment laws.

Your credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of HR experience, along with 8+ years' experience managing an HR team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR) are advantageous.

  • Ensure legal compliance with HR laws and government regulations.
  • Lead the Performance Review process.
  • Participate on the BIW Savings Plan (401k) Investment Committee.
  • Work with managers on how and when to address employee performance concerns.
  • Develop legally required training for managers.
  • Review Client & Vendor contracts for HR compliance.
  • Respond to Client RFP's with HR information.
