Second shift position, 4pm - 2:30am, Monday - Thursday

The Product Mover - Temp Room is responsible for pulling materials from the freezer and slacking area as needed and moving them into the Temp Room appropriate spot to be used based on the Production schedule.

Essential Competencies:

QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY

  • Perform all activities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and company policies.
  • Execute assigned food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to support SQF requirements, regulatory requirements, and our customers' requirements.
  • Follows, all GMPs, government regulations, and safety and production practices/procedures.

SAFETY AND HEALTH

  • Successfully complete the mandatory E.A. Sween quarterly safety training sessions for the purpose of complying with both OSHA regulations and E.A. Sween policy.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, organized work area.
  • Wear all required safety gear, i.e., gloves, earplugs.

COST (CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT)

  • Contribute and participate in Lean activities.
  • Works together with production employees, Supervisor, Lead, and Mechanic to assemble the lowest cost, highest quality product possible.

LEADERSHIP

  • Promotes the Spirit of EA Sween Company and creating a friendly and positive work environment.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.
  • Treats all employees fairly in a friendly, safe, clean, and positive work environment.

PRODUCTION

  • Works with production to provide the right product and proper amounts daily.
  • Report any questionable product to QC, Lead, Supervisor, or Production Manager before sending it to the Prep Room.
  • Must comply with USDA regulations and E.A. Sween policies.
  • Must be able to read a schedule and/or queries to determine the supplies needed daily.
  • Notify Supervisor and/or Lead of any issues of shortages of materials.
  • Must be able to perform a physical inventory count by lots or pack dates daily, weekly, or monthly and determine use by issues.
  • Keep Temp room doors closed.
  • Follow all standard work.
  • Must be flexible as it relates to the basic work schedule.

EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY/PPE USED:

  • Pallet jack
  • Forklift
  • Calculators
  • Knives
  • Carts
  • Cardboard Baler
  • Compactor
  • Scale

PPE's:

  • Hard Hat
  • Cut Resistant Gloves

Requirements:

  • Previous assembly line experience.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed to support business needs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Food-related experience.

Physical Environment:

  • Must be able to work in cool conditions (32-degree room).
  • Must be able to be on feet all day.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to reach overhead.
