Reports to: Guest Services Manager, position is non-exempt

This individual also oversees the night audit operation to ensure closing of the night is done properly and accurately.
THE ROLE
In this unique role, the Front Desk Ambassador will be involved in setting up the department for success along with all other responsibilities assigned by management such as cross training and collaborating with other departments as needed.
We are looking for someone with flexible availability to include day, and evening shifts. Weekends and Holidays will be required for this role.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Understands guest service needs and exceed guest expectations by taking advantage of opportunities to add a special touch
  • Greets guests who arrive to the hotel by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel. Unloads guest luggage from car
  • Handles guests' check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel standards in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure
  • Responsible for interacting with guests in the lobby, while ensuring the area is neat and tidy
  • Provides recognition to repeat guests
  • Maintains and adheres to hotel policies regarding a cash bank and makes daily deposits with accurate report of receipts daily
  • Continuous standing 100% of the shift.
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 200 lbs. Carts may be pulled up to the length of a full city block
  • Bending/kneeling required 50% of shift
  • Mobile position required 100% of the time
  • Computer use 75% of the time
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • College degree preferable
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a guest services environment
  • Able to work well unsupervised
  • Computer skills necessary
