Senior Engineer, DevSecOps - (employer: Sirius XM Radio Inc.; job location: Irving, TX) - Analyze requirements and technical specifications, and implement assigned development tasks using various web technologies. Develop, maintain, and debug cloud based micro-service APIs and Web Application. Analyze software requirements of software development projects, and design, test and develop software to meet project needs. Participate in the technical design and software architecture of various projects. Develop software diagrams, flow charts and models that illustrate the type of software code needed for a project. Document each aspect of a software application or system as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance. Perform analyses to troubleshoot software issues, debug problems, and understand the performance of deployed software. Ensure continued functionality of software applications during maintenance and deployment of software, developing highly scalable, highly available and maintainable software applications. Revisit the software development process to fix bugs or address concerns, and recommend upgrades for existing systems, programs, and technology. Document technical software design, code, build and release procedures. Requirements: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus two years of experience in the offered position or as software developer or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus five years of post-Bachelor's progressive experience in the offered position or as software developer. All required experience must have included working in an Agile software development environment; utilizing object-oriented design; managing projects using Scrum or Kanban; applying cloud development and deployment best practices on AWS (EKS, Step Function, DynamoDB, ELB, ECS, EC2, ECR, Lambda, VPC, S3, AWS CFT, and CICD); using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular/ReactJS, Bootstrap, Python and related technologies for full stack development; utilizing Linux, HTTP, REST, JSON and IP technologies; working within a Git/Gitflow-based multi-branched software environment; utilizing the Atlassian Development Suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket), Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel); and performing software integration using Genesys telephony system.
