Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting clients with the daily functions of a Human Resource department which includes assisting in the implementation of HR programs to support strategic plans and objectives, implementing and enforcing the company's policies and practices, ensuring legal compliance, and managing the employee lifecycle from recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separation.

Job Duties

All duties performed are under and subject to the client's direction and approval

  • Functions in various capacities for the clients including HR Specialist, HR Business Partner or HR Analyst
  • Manages multiple client stakeholders simultaneously
  • Provides support and guidance to other HR Consultants, client's management team, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
  • Administers and executes routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Partners with the client leadership team to understand and execute the company's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent; and administers compensation and benefit plans
  • Performs job analyses by collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and performs compensation benchmarking to determine proper compensation within the market
  • Assists in talent acquisition and recruitment processes which includes interviewing and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
  • Conducts pre-employment screening of candidates
  • Implements employee onboarding, conducting new hire orientations and ensuring data integrity and accurate completion of all assigned tasks in HRIS, contacting the new employee about data discrepancies and makes corrections in the HRIS
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments to include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
  • Provides support to client's employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolves any issues that may arise
  • Assists in development and implementation of human resource policies, continually reviewing to maintain compliance, and promotes HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law to recommend best practices
  • Drives the tasks around performance management, organizing the quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Gathers and analyzes data with useful HR metrics, such as time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhances job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities to support morale
  • Participates in various ad-hoc projects
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, required - concentration in Human Resources or Business Administration, preferred
  • Master's degree, preferred

Experience

  • Five (5) or more years as an HR Generalist or similar HR role, required
  • Professional services industry experience, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s)

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP, required
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP, preferred

Software

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook, required
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (ie. ADP Workforce Now, Bamboo HR, Paycor, Workday, etc.), required

  • Ability to travel minimum of 25%, preferred
