Two Post-Doctoral Positions to investigate the cellular basis of neurodegeneration and develop new therapeutics
What?
Two Postdoctoral fellowships to investigate inter-cellular crosstalk in microglial activation and neurodegeneration and develop novel therapeutic modalities using advanced live imaging, cellular, molecular, and multi-omics approaches in cell-based and mouse models.
Where?
The Lakkaraju laboratory @UCSF. We are a diverse group of multidisciplinary scientists studying mechanisms that drive neurodegeneration using the retina as a model to identify promising therapeutic targets. We use a broad range of techniques from high resolution imaging, bioinformatics, cell biology and biochemical assays, viral-mediated gene delivery, functional and molecular studies in vivo and in vitro, using tissue culture and mouse models.
