Overview

Dragosis looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join its Engineering team. This position works closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to deploy and support industrial equipment in ranges and demo environments primarily located in Hanover, MD.

You will be responsible for helping field a wide array of requests from internal teams and will offer solutions to meet their needs. This role will also be responsible for serving as a subject matter expert to a staff with varying experience levels in the Industrial Control Systems space. Initially, this role will require three days in the office to start. As you settle into the role, the expectation is to transition to one day a week in the office.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and advise stakeholders on capabilities, scheduling, and status.
  • Purchase, install, maintain, and configure a variety of field devices, controllers, and associated software.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to acquire, support, and manage the internal cyber ranges (500+ assets).
  • Collect and manage environment change requests to support business needs. Change requests could include new equipment, topology or configuration changes.
  • Install, deploy and integrate a variety of network and security devices such as switches, routers, taps, firewalls, data diodes, logging appliances, endpoint protection solutions.
  • Capture and analyze network traffic, host data and other data to satisfy project objectives.
  • Serve as program manager and interface with internal customers and partners to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Provide site level and remote technical support of devices such as PLCs, HMIs, DCSs, Variable Frequency Drives, Network Switches, Engineering Workstations, etc.
  • Assist in creating demo scenarios to demonstrate Dragos Platform capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a control systems integrator or relevant role.
  • Networking experience: TCP/IP, OSI model, and Purdue model
  • Thorough knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Windows Servers, and desktop operating systems; installation, active directory, access control lists, firewall rules, management, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience supporting VMware Virtual Environments (Deploying VMs, developing templates, building virtual networks, etc.).

  • Detailed documentation skills and ability to quickly communicate in multiple depths.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems. Strong aptitude for repair and maintenance activities.
  • Skilled with interpreting and understanding different requests from internal and external stakeholders to the company and ability to independently manage self and others.
  • Ability to evaluate equipment and instrumentation system including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
  • Ability to quickly develop a basic understanding of new tools, technologies, and software suites to support research work in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot network switches, firewalls, servers, workstations, and associated applications - including security equipment.
  • Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC.
