As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of a team suporting the modernization efforts of our federal customer. Karsun offers a portfolio of Enterprise Modernization services to both civilian and defense Federal agencies. Karsun's list of strong clientele includes U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. General Services Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

• Work with customers to develop domain expertise on a number of business data sources
• Understanding legacy business rules, participate in business model development and identify options for its modernization
• Identify and document data mapping and business requirements for modernized system development activities
• Use SQL and automated tools to extract and compare data from primary and secondary sources
• Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
• Identify corrupted data and coding errors and work with data engineers on their resolution
• Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets
• Preparing analysis reports for different types of stakeholders

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8-10 years of data analysis experience
• Strong experience using data-driven methods to analyze and address business issues
• Experience in documenting business requirements and test cases
• Proficiency in using SQL queries for data analysis, preferably in MySQL, SQL Server environment
• Experience in using data profiling tool such as as sweetviz, great expectations, autoviz or pandas profiling
• Expertise in creating technical and business reports using tools such as QuickSight, Jasper reports, Tableau and/or other enterprise-wide reporting tools
• Experience with legacy system modernization
• Ability to obtain a Federal Government Public Trust

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in scripting SQL queries and reports, and scripting using Linux shell and Python for automation and data analysis
• Highly prefer candidates residing in the eastern, central or mountain time zones
• Experience supporting US government clients
• Experience with large scale data migration
• Experience with modern web development frameworks

In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $120,000 to $155,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
