Our client in San Antonio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant for a contract-to-hire position. This role is crucial in supporting the financial operations of the company and requires someone with a strong background in accounting and public accounting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP standards.
  • Assist in financial reporting, analysis, and month-end close processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Support audits and tax filings as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of total accounting experience, including significant experience in SEC Reporting and Financial Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of SEC regulations and GAAP standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and during close periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
