Our client in San Antonio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant for a contract-to-hire position. This role is crucial in supporting the financial operations of the company and requires someone with a strong background in accounting and public accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP standards.
- Assist in financial reporting, analysis, and month-end close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Support audits and tax filings as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of total accounting experience, including significant experience in SEC Reporting and Financial Reporting.
- Strong understanding of SEC regulations and GAAP standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and during close periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
