About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

Description
The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team serves as a trusted adviser to the business to help guide decision-making through business partner support and innovative and informative analyses. We are looking for forward-thinking, results-oriented individuals that will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in leading teams, and improve processes that will allow the company to scale with growth.

This Manager will support the Customer Success Group (CSG) to drive the continued success of Salesforce by supporting our customer success strategy, applying creative analytical problem-solving skills to a wide variety of business questions to deepen our understanding of CSG's impact on customer success and value realization, while partnering closely with Finance and Strategy colleagues across functions to broaden our insights into holistic go-to-market outcomes. The results include detailed analytic models, building scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards, ad hoc performance analysis, and packaging findings into presentation-ready content for Salesforce executives.

The role requires interaction with various areas of the organization and provides exposure to senior executives. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, data-driven environment and demonstrate a natural curiosity when "digging" into the numbers.

  • Support the development of comprehensive go-to-market insights (new frameworks to measure and track business performance)

  • Translate business needs into analytical frameworks to help optimize investment decisions

  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior leaders

Required Skills / Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent and minimum of 6+ years related experience in Analytics, Finance, Business Operation or Management Consulting

  • Core foundational FP&A experience: accounting, planning, forecasting, variance analysis

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into simple consumable deliverables with clear takeaways

  • Ability to independently address analytical requests: understand ask, gather data, build model and validate assumptions, perform analyses, summarize and present results

  • Experience performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process with SQL, Tableau prep, Alteryx, PowerQuery, etc., and understanding of relational databases

  • Experience leveraging business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.) to turn data into insights

  • Knowledge of basic programming in python or R highly desired

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Great teammate able to lead and work optimally at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
