This position can be based in Fredericksburg, VA, Coumbus, OH, or Riverside, CA. Candidates would need to live within 50-minutes of one of the locations or be open to relocation.

PAY AND BENEFITS:
The pay range for this position is $100k to $130k based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 10% of your base annual salary. This position will report to the Director of Real Estate. Primary responsibilities involve managing construction projects throughout the United States. This position will also work closely with multiple distribution centers to resolve facility issues and support cost saving initiatives related to utilities and building operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Manage construction budgets, specify and obtain bid proposals.
  • Project review, coordination and manage construction schedules.
  • Manage and assist with distribution facility design, construction and repair projects.
  • Manage budget and project planning for multiple facilities.
  • Prepare, review and approve bid documents, drawings, purchase orders and procurement of furniture, fixtures and building equipment.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
  • Assist distribution facilities with capital planning, budgets and estimates.
  • Manage major building repair projects (HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, roofing, paving, etc.)
  • Coordinate and maintain building emergency procedures to include generator maintenance programs.
  • Evaluate and implement cost savings initiatives related to utilities and building operating processes.
  • Maintain legal and construction document files and drawings.
  • Manage large-scale material handling projects from conception to start up.
  • Ensure that projects are implemented on time, under budget and achieve stated performance objectives.
  • Assist with new construction projects.
  • Develop efficient layouts, workstations and material handling systems for existing and expanded facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering or Construction Science
  • Have 3-5 years' experience managing construction budgets and schedules is required.
  • Have 3-5 years' experience cost estimating and project management is required.
  • Have experience in commercial / industrial construction is preferred.
  • Have AutoCAD experience is preferred.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Have strong presentation skills.
  • Have working knowledge of building and mechanical systems.
  • Have strong analytic, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Have strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
