Description

The Biochemistry Program and Department of Chemistry at Smith College invite applications for a full-time, benefits eligible, three-year Laboratory Instructor faculty position to begin July 1, 2024, with a possible extension subject to curricular need and job performance. Teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include laboratory courses within the introductory chemistry curriculum, including general chemistry I lab (CHM 111L) and courses within the biochemistry curriculum, including biochemistry I lab (BCH 253). Candidates must have a strong foundation in chemistry and biochemistry, or related fields, and potential for excellence in teaching. Strong candidates will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
