Job Description
OSHA safety programs
This position is responsible for the development and execution of programs to ensure that the Company provides a safe workplace for employees.
Will lead compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations
Develops, implements, and drives cost-effective compliance training, and regulatory safety and environmental programs
Builds proactive safety culture
Manager will also proactively lead risk mitigation to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations, including OSHA, standards, while managing any requirement changes for immediate and flawless adaptation throughout the operations
Creates an environment where employees and supervision are engaged in working safely
Manufacturing safety experience such as machine guarding, hoisting lifting, and any other manufacturing safety related topics
Working knowledge of health and safety hazards, walking and working surfaces, personal protective equipment, materials handling, and job hazard analysis
Solid knowledge of EHS standards, and industry regulatory standards in consumer products manufacturing, with the ability to communicate such standards to otherswell as in a team environment
OSHA and regulatory safety training experience
Develops and implements EHS programs, policies, procedures, and best practice techniques
Conducts EHS assessments at the facility identifies areas for improvement, leads corrective actions (from plant and corporate/3rd party audits)
Serves as the interface with local, state, and federal agencies
Reports EHS results to Supply Chain and Manufacturing Management
Oversees all EHS training programs and requirements
Leads EHS reviews and identifies requirements for engineering projects, new lines/equipment, and management of change activity
Investigates injuries/illnesses, near-misses, and environmental incidents
Determines root cause of incidences and provides a corrective action plan

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
