Role Summary

Rivian is seeking a detail oriented data driven root cause problem solver with the technical chops to shed light on the performance and productivity, among other critical aspects, of the Sales organization. Output enables users to zoom into the root cause of the problem set


Responsibilities

  • Be a key member of a high caliber Sales Analytics team that generates insight into operational performance with significant exposure to senior management and across multiple departments
  • Build, improve, and manage dashboards and associated data pipelines, tables, and data integrations to help the Sales organization manage to KPIs and budget
  • Co-develop Multi Touch Attribution and other sales and marketing models with Marketing Analytics
  • Analyze sales campaign performance, employee and consumer behavior, and sales performance metrics, and sales pipelines to identify actionable insights including impact of sales tactics and
    incentives on key sales KPIs
  • Utilize advanced statistical methods and predictive modeling techniques to optimize sales strategies and drive business growth
  • Identify and integrate discrete data sources, validate data fidelity and create data when none currently exists
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales forecasting and territory accuracy and optimize incentive structure by leveraging historical data, market trends, and predictive modeling
  • Utilize advanced statistical methods and data science techniques to optimize marketing strategies and drive business growth
  • Provide insights and data-driven recommendations increase gross orders, reduce cancellations, improve targeting, increase sales velocity, and improve the customer experience
  • Update and distribute regular reports to various internal stakeholders
  • Keep dashboards current and pulling from the latest sources
  • Support ad hoc analyses and reports needed for business decisions, planning, and execution including supporting new product launches/offerings and new initiatives
  • Generate insights and contributes real-time results from dashboards in support of presentations and read-outs to senior management
  • Collaborate with the IT team to build out the Sales and Customer Engagement data infrastructure, pipelines, ETLs, and security within the data warehouse
  • Streamline information accessibility and data normalization through lean and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Key collaboration partners include Inside Sales and Field Sales teams, Marketing, Product Management, Communications, IT, Finance, Treasury, Digital Technology, business line managers
    (e.g., Insurance, Financing), Customer Service, and Commercial Operations

Qualifications

  • Proficient in SQL, Hex, ThoughtSpot, Sigma, Connect or Tableau, Excel, Python, R, Salesforce
  • 6+ years of related business experience in sales analytics (data and/or decision science demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, advanced business acumen mindset and passion for data driven decision making
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation, incentives, territory planning and ability to create and pull reports from Salesforce (Sales and Service Cloud) Contacts, Leads, Opportunities
  • Excellent communicator, with ability to partner at the most senior levels of the finance organization and experience presenting and build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills reflecting prioritization with a sense of urgency
  • Experienced in start-up operations or launching new products quickly and successfully including integrating data from sources (3rd party, Excel, Smartsheet, Data Lake)
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement attitude; ability to suggest and implement best practices
  • Lean Six Sigma / PMP / APICS Certification a plus
  • Ability to quickly understand and map systems, processes and operations
  • Adaptability in a dynamically changing environment
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Incorporates Gemba to validate findings; willing to travel (up to 10%)
  • Extremely detail oriented

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for New York Based Applicants: [ $149,000 - $187,000 ] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums
