ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
TheAssistant Controllerwill be hands on and perform a variety of general accounting functions along with assisting in invoicing, collections, accounts payable and the monthly financial reporting close process. This position reports to the CFO and is responsible for applying general principles of accounting, reviewing, and analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and review financial transactions and activities for assigned accounts and departments.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations and financial reports and statements for assigned areas to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and established policies and procedures.
  • Know the financials and own the financial statement process and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data.
  • Maintain accounting controls and audit documents.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist with calculating employee bonuses and 409A units.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide information as requested.
  • Participate in special projects, team training, and development.
  • Assist in the processing and oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assist with the development, review, and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, and the maintenance of supporting documentation and records.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and financial reporting experience
  • Experience getting into the weeds and producing financials, owning the financial reporting process
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition over a period in manufacturing or construction industry preferred
  • Well organized, proactive, high attention to detail, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to adhere to highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial, and employee matters
  • Ability to maintain open, direct, positive, and respectful lines of communication with management
  • Highly responsive and self-directed in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong Excel skills to analyze data, experience with QuickBooks online/Desktop and CETEC a plus
