POSITION PURPOSE:
Alone and in a team environment, perform or support installation, testing, verification, repair, diagnostic analysis, and calibration of various systems. Provide organizational, intermediate, and depot level troubleshooting and support of fielded systems. Provide training to subcontractors, vendors, and junior technicians. Read system drawings, blueprints, bills of materials, and technical manuals. Conduct performance measurement activities and report findings. Provide oral, written, on-site, or other troubleshooting assistance. Assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing technical documentation, instructions, procedures, and staging lists. Interface and coordinate with client personnel, subcontractors, or vendors to arrange diagnostics, repairs, and order and manage parts. Document and communicate results. Assist in conferences, meetings, or other problem-solving situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium physical workload. Employees must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading. Also required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Maintain equilibrium to prevent falling when moving, walking, standing, kneeling or crouching - particularly on narrow, uneven, irregular, slippery surfaces, going up or down ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles or other objects using hands, arms, feet or legs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout. The worker is subject to a variety of physical conditions, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electric current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions - fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation.
