We are working on a hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office, 2 at home.

This role works on the Corporate Communications team to support the strategic planning, development, and deliveryof internal communications and corporate culture initiatives. The Senior Corporate Communications Specialist will partner closely with internal Cognex departments to support their communications priorities and initiatives. The ideal candidate is intelligent, talented, and funny, with a creative writing style and a strategic perspective on creating value through exciting communications.

This person will need to be able to take their work seriously but not themselves. They should be high-energy and a top performer with a solid ability to multi-task. This role will report to the Manager of Corporate Communications and work across the organization to communicate key initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement strategies and programs to communicate the company's business objectives, culture, and values to its employees.

  • Partner with other departments to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic internal communications.

  • Manage corporate Intranet, including development of internal content and regular upkeep.

  • Write, edit, review, and enhance internal global communication materials, including company emails/memos, company meetings, speeches, intranet, and newsletters.

  • Works closely with the events team to help with event scripting, content, and day-of logistics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent creative writing and editing skills.

  • Demonstrated success working directly with Senior Management, including the ability toadvise on effective communication activities and plans.

  • Excellent verbal communication.

  • Must be detail-oriented, energetic, creative, proactive, and able to multi-task.

  • Track record of building strong relationships across geographical boundaries and with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to distill complex information into simple messaging.

  • High degree of responsiveness with the ability to shift priorities quickly.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in communications, preferably in employee communications.
