Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Plater Operator based in Indianapolis, IN. The Plater Operator is responsible for ensuring all required tasks are completed as scheduled, within quality specifications set forth by the company, while adhering to all safety policies and guidelines.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $18/hr - $19/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Gather proper racks, parts, and supplies to perform racking/unracking responsibilities
  • Rack parts prior to plating according to production goals
  • Unrack, clean, inspect, and count parts coming out of plater
  • Operate conveyor & other equipment as required
  • Follow work instructions/standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Meet production standards as set by department goals
  • Understand work orders and routings
  • Performs duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system
  • Monitors the quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report issues to the production supervisor
  • Follow all environmental, health, & safety (EHS) policies & procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Daily 5S/housekeeping

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fundamental computer skills
