Our general neurology patients include those who have experienced acute, stroke, seizure, chronic headaches and general neurological disorders including Guillen-Barre Syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis exacerbations. Being a med/surg unit, we provide quality care for many general medicine patients: pneumonia, cellulitis, GI bleeds, alcohol withdrawal and patients who have experience drug overdose are just a few examples.
The professional growth and development opportunities truly prepare a nurse for the next steps in their career. We provide neuro-specific training through classes, online learning modules, and 1-1 instruction on the unit with your preceptor. First year RNs can participate in our new grad float pool program.
