What you will do:

  • Adhere to all Quality Standard Operating Procedures and processes
  • Responsible for testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
  • Obtain and test samples of materials according to standard procedures to ensure compliance with established internal specifications
  • Supply testing information to corporate and send samples out as needed
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of laboratory analysis
  • Perform daily calculations, compare lab results to expected values and report variances to supervisor
  • Conduct instrument maintenance and calibration
  • Operate equipment, record data, and use discretion in the evaluation of data, often working without supervision
  • Maintain QC log books with complete documentation
  • Report any quality, processing problems, and out-of-spec. conditions to the QA supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment and complete regular inventory checks of necessary lab items
  • Prepare spreadsheets analyzing data and alert supervisor of trends in data
  • Scan, file, and keep records of all batch sheets and raw materials COAs

  • Other duties as required

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory; equivalent degree may be considered in lieu of lab experience
  • Associates degree in chemistry or a related major preferred
  • Knowledge of Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Computer experience necessary, including a working knowledge of MS office
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, and management
