Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an opening for an Warehouse Supervisor at its manufacturing facility in Palmetto, Florida (Port Manatee/Manatee County). This position is a highly visible position with leadership of a multi-talented team.This position will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, Support the Production team and securing the warehouse.Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily Startup meetings to go over Safety, duties or areas of concern that need to be addressed. Hold monthly Safety meetings.
  • Enforces safety policies and conduct monthly Safety Meetings with the Team.
  • Continued evaluation of the Teams development to ensure all Safety, Training and Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Daily oversight of Warehouse operations to support the Manufacturing Facility at PM
  • Schedules, cross train, and oversees warehouse staff. Assign specific commodities, areas to 5s and responsibilities to each Team Member.
  • Assisting in the training of hourly personnel in the operation of cranes, both mobile and overhead, forklifts and any other material handling equipment.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to understand schedules, lift Plans or any daily rigging or lifting request by our Engineering/Tooling Department.
  • Attend Manufacturing Production meetings with Supervisors as well as weekly Plant Projects update meetings.
  • Ensure daily transactions are completed in SAP for Receiving, Transfers, Material Charges to Projects, etc.
  • Responsible for warehouse and yard organization and proper material storage.
  • Assist Inventory Coordinators with cycle counting and reconciliation as required.
  • Engage with Material Control team to ensure that inventory usage is optimized, with particular attention to maximizing use of partial plate materials generated during normal operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: *

High School Diploma or GED required, * Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Supervisory or Warehouse Management role is required, *Experience in a manufacturing environment and with MRP/ERP systems and related processes * Experience in the operation/supervision of cranes and mobile material handling equipment recommended * Familiarity with SAP ERP or other MRP software a plus.
