Job Description

At Datadog, the Office Operations team runs the day-to-day operations of office spaces. The team oversees everything from vendor management, events and employee engagement to keep employees safe, happy and productive. Office Operations works closely with leadership and individual employees to ensure that Datadog keeps scaling smoothly and remains a great place to work.

Datadog is looking for an Office Operations Associate to join our team to help us manage 2 floors in our New York campus. You might be negotiating a new vendor agreement for a more expansive snack program, working with our Benefits team on rolling out a Wellbeing initiative, or hosting a 150-guest meetup into our gorgeous New York office. Every day will be different.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the person responsible for the day to day success of the site
  • Collaborate with your team members across the campus
  • Have a problem-solving mindset
  • Work with IT & People Operations staff to set up employees for success by providing onboarding support and managing seating allocations
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with building management & vendor partners
  • Keep Datadog employees up to date with everything happening in the office (using Slack and Fresh Service ticketing system)
  • Partner with the Security team to ensure the implementation of all safety protocols
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure that the office is in an operationally excellent condition, and address any concerns directly to keep our office a great place to work
  • Manage delivery alerts and notifications to employees; maintain office supply inventory
  • Work with vendor partners to keep the office stocked with food, snacks and pantry supplies
  • Review vendor orders and ensure quality and consistency with business needs
  • Where required, work alongside various Operations teams to assist with office moves, build-outs and openings
  • Assist Operations management with ad hoc projects
  • Act as the face of Datadog for anyone visiting/working in a Datadog office

Who You Are:

  • This is an in-office, 5 day a week position
  • 2-3 years of experience working in Office Operations
  • A true people person, with an empathetic and friendly demeanor
  • Fast learner who enjoys solving problems and improving processes
  • Possess excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Takes initiative on all projects
  • Be even-tempered and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Have unending patience and thrive on getting things done
  • Be organized, have an acute attention to detail, and take pride in the appearance of the office
  • Able to bring structure to chaos
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Possess good spreadsheet skills
  • Bring creativity and fresh ideas that help contribute to the culture at Datadog
  • Ability to partake in scheduled after-hours events on a monthly basis

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
