We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our cardiology team. As an RN specializing in cardiology, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside top cardiologists and healthcare professionals in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiac disorders.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other relevant parameters.
- Administer medications, treatments, and cardiac interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with cardiac procedures, including electrocardiograms (ECG), stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects.
- Provide support during cardiac emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current RN License to practice, State of Iowa.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Previous cardiology experience preferred.
