Advantage Resourcing is currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA.

Pay Rate: $15-17/hr

Shifts Available: Full-time position with day-shift hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
• Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be moved or shipped.
• Move materials and items from storage areas to designated locations.
• Organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to specified criteria.
• Maintain warehouse accessibility and safety for all personnel.
• Assemble and pack customer orders for shipment.
• Mark materials with identifying information and record inventory transactions.
• Interface with Warehouse Management System for various tasks such as receiving, order filling, and packing.
• Prepare parcels for shipping and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment and report any issues to supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as required.

The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Material Handler position should possess strong communication skills, mathematical proficiency, and excellent organizational abilities. They should also demonstrate technical capacity, including familiarity with inventory and order management software, along with meticulous attention to detail and thoroughness in their work. Effective time management and the ability to collaborate within a team are essential. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with previous warehouse experience preferred. Experience operating a forklift is advantageous, and candidates with flexibility, adaptability, and multitasking skills will thrive in this role. Familiarity with inventory management technology and handheld RF units is a plus.
