MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
LOUISVILLE, KY - LOUISVILLE PLANT

The Role:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines, plant facility equipment including scheduled Preventive maintenance.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service times.
  • Perform maintenance technician skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, machinery assembly drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose process and machinery problems utilizing root cause failure analysis techniques, replace or repair equipment parts, test and adjust as required.
  • Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, basic shop machinery, electrical meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Ability to read/interpret electrical prints
  • Wire simple 110V 1-phase, 208V-3 phase, 480V 3-phase circuits
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits
  • Ability to read/interpret electrical prints
  • Wire simple 12V or 24V circuits
  • Wire photo-eye or proximity sensors
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits with sensors
  • Understand and troubleshoot operation of 2, 3, and 4-way valves
  • Understand and troubleshoot operation of single/double acting cylinders
  • Replace gearboxes and motors
  • Replace bearings and chain drives
  • Basic conveyor adjustment

Your Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • An AA degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial maintenance and HVAC applications with 3-5 years' experience preferred.
  • Experience with PLC's (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 - Rockwell software) - being able to understand ladder logic and make simple programming changes if necessary.
  • Proficient with automated equipment (i.e., Industrial conveyors, Servo Driven Equipment, RFID and Vision systems).
  • Proficient with Computer systems (i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Word.)
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Must pass written test for forklift, man lift and CPR/AED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to perform heavy physical work and lifting
  • MUST work effectively as a member of a team
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted. Position requires average physical strength.
  • Manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, depth perception and use of common sense.
  • Work includes safely erecting and using ladders up to 20' to access internal and external building mechanical equipment.

Bonus If You Have:

  • PLC programming experience
  • Basic PLC input/output wiring
  • Atlas Copco DC Tool experience
  • Machining
  • Welding/Fabrication/Blueprint Interpretation
