Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Task and project management, including planning and implementing multidisciplinary projects, including site selection, front-end feasibility, conceptual and final design phases. Apply project management tools to conduct budgeting and budget management, ensure adherence to schedule, and enhance client satisfaction;
  • Assist Client Manager and technical resource specialists as applicable to set, manage, and meet client expectations regarding project execution;
  • Implement quality management practices to maintain work product quality;
  • Engage and coordinate project resources and subcontractors to execute project work;
  • Provide technical input and review of project deliverables;
  • Support company and action group initiatives with respect to project execution and other applicable topics;
  • Collaborate with others to identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities as applicable; and
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, CPR training and medical monitoring, all paid for by Geosyntec. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 20%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 30%
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in engineering. (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain PE license in chemical or environmental engineering within 24 months of employment. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience (7+ preferred) in engineering and project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Strong background with applied process engineering. (preferred)
  • Experience with industrial manufacturing businesses. (preferred)
  • Experience in the development and approval of sales plans and tracking goals and metrics. (required)
  • Experience managing large capital project development including managing multiple contracts across trades and engineering disciplines. (required)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of applying local, state, and federal codes and regulations to project development (i.e., IBC, NEPA, CAA, CWA). (preferred)
  • Experience with managing multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
