Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for connecting internal and external market forces into a cohesive marketing strategy, comprised of strategic targeted marketing campaigns. Want to be one of the voices guiding sustainability and energy management decisions with some of the largest C&I clients in the US? This role will manage Solutions' social media and online content, support the sales and structuring needs for branded content and marketing materials, and maximize the qualitative and revenue generating benefits of leveraging external affiliate relationships (e.g. NGOs, industry groups, strategic partners). The end goal is to raise the overall brand awareness and public perception of Solutions as the industry-leading partner for strategic energy consumers.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing Communications

  • Events - Events will include customer/prospect symposiums and outings, trade shows and conferences where Solutions is a speaker/sponsor, webinars for internal and external audiences, and Solutions' Regional and National Sales Meetings. The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for managing events in collaboration with the MD Marketing and Carbon Management. This includes developing and managing the annual events budget and calendar, overseeing vendor relationships/contracts, pre-event planning (topic, content, presenters, promotional materials, etc.), and post-event follow-up.
  • Content - Content will include published and sample press releases, published white papers, videos, cut sheets, targeted "pitch deck" samples (i.e. Pitch to C-Level, Pitch to Sustainability person, etc.), brand-cohesive templates, and links to external data sources. In this role you will develop and maintain a content library to educate and support the efforts of the sales team.. Development will involve collecting existing and developing new materials for internal and external use; all with a cohesive look and feel. Maintenance will require ongoing review and revision of materials to incorporate updated or newly available information (e.g. press release library should contain recent examples, product pitch slide decks must be available for all active marketing campaigns, etc.)
  • Branding/Partnerships - In this role you'll be responsible for maximizing the value of strategic partnerships and branding initiatives; this includes 3rd parties providing related professional services (e.g. CEBA membership, CDP accreditation, EcoVadis certification, etc.), and is inclusive of leveraging existing relationships to the full potential as well as exploring opportunities for new strategic partnerships that will enhance Solutions' social profile.
  • You'll work with internal and external stakeholders to support improvement of brand perception and recognition in the energy management and carbon management space and leverage relationships with clients as references, co-panelists for speaking engagements, and collaborators on publications or press releases.
  • Marketing Strategy- You will be responsible for the development and delivery of tactical marketing communications campaigns across all media to support the overall and campaign-specific sales initiatives and drive additional revenue through impactful marketing initiatives., internal and external white papers and publications to persuade and/or inform, and internal training and development of colleagues to improve individual aptitude that supports favorable corporate credibility and internal and external brand perception.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experienced Marketing Communications practitioner able to work unsupervised with a minimum of five (5) years related experience. This role has no direct reports and does not require commonly defined "team management" experience.
  • Approximately 30% travel required.
