Job Description

About the Role:

The Purchasing Supervisor places purchase orders from MRP to support production requirements and modifies as needed, expedites material, communicates material shortages, ensures quality product delivers on time, meets or exceeds inventory goals, manages non-conforming, clears receipt discrepancies in Coupa, and participates in purchasing related meetings with Central Purchasing. This individual will also lead a small team supporting customer supplied parts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Issues Purchase Orders (modify as needed) to Support Production Requirements
  • Runs Past Due report and responds according to material requirements
  • Receives and confirms orders in SAP once acknowledged by supplier
  • Expedites orders for short lead time or replacement materials
  • Confirms pricing and update SAP Information Records
  • Builds relationships with suppliers
  • Meets with suppliers and participates in sourcing and cost savings activities with Central Purchasing
  • Resolves invoice issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Environment
  • 2 years' experience in Purchasing or Material related experience
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Leadership Training -- to improve Organizational performance
  • Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Exceptional work ethic - must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete the task
  • Ability to interact and work cooperatively with various departments (accounting, sales, engineering, etc.).
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks concurrently
  • Respects and follows Safety Policies and regulations to promote safe workplace
  • Honest and dependable team player
