The Crew Planner is responsible for the monthly bid process (build, award, and adjust), operation and administration of the crew planning optimization software, flight schedule communication with the Union Scheduling Committee, management of the Monthly Open Flying/Daily Open Flying processes, daily planning function inclusive of trip trades and advance Junior Man planning, recording and tracking of daily crew statistics, execution of the yearly pilot vacation bid, function as a Senior Crew Scheduler when not performing Crew Planning function, providing leadership to the Crew Scheduling group in the absence of the department manager.
