As a Technology Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge process catalyst technologies and manage core catalytic applications for leading technical competitiveness.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and own technical design guidelines critical for enhancing the competitiveness of our projects. Ensure these guidelines align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Consolidate customer performance feedback and insights, collaborate with our Research and Development (R&D) team to translate this feedback into actionable improvements.
  • Create and maintain Catalyst benchmarking within application to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Interaction with strategic licensors to qualify our products for new capacity projects.
  • Play a key role in selecting suitable catalysts for licensor proposals.
  • Consult with selected large customers to optimize plant performance. Provide technical expertise and solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Conduct trainings for sales and technical service teams to serve customers/prospects and core products
  • You will run customer webinars, customer trainings and handle conference presentations
  • Establish and lead Clariant Catalyst Academy, fostering continuous learning and development within our organization.
  • Coach sales and engineering teams for critical customer interactions (claims, large negotiations).
  • Control quality of technical quotations, recommendations & performance evaluations.
  • You will play an active role in innovation sales (product launch, value proposition).
  • Engage in ideation sessions to generate leads for innovative catalyst solutions.

Requirements

  • You should hold a degree in Chemistry, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Demonstrate strong technical acumen gained through hands-on experience.
  • Alternatively, if you have technical experience in customer operations, we encourage you to apply.
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years in a technical role with a sense of commercial skills and leadership.
  • Ideally, you've worked in plant operations, giving you valuable insights into real-world challenges.
  • Come with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • You should have excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Clariant experience as an Applied Catalyst Technology Engineer would be a major plus.
