Job Summary

The University Program Board is a function of the Dean of Students Office, providing large-scale social events for the campus community with a focus on students. Four students will be hired for this position. Each Event Coordinator will research, plan, promote, and implement one (1) large-scale event each semester (fall and spring) and assist the other three (3) Event Coordinators with running their events. Additionally, each Event Coordinator will be responsible for an aspect of planning a ticketed concert.

Additional Information

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Take lead coordination on one (1) large-scale event each semester, which includes researching all event components, planning, promoting, and implementing the event within a pre-set budget.
*Communicate with vendors, artists, and agencies for researching and planning event components.
*Facilitate location and catering reservation processes.
*Work directly with the University Program Board Marketing and Communications Coordinator on the promotion of events.
*Assist with three (3) other large-scale events each semester.
*Assist with major concerts.
*Attend one-on-one meetings with supervisor and team meetings.
*Hold six (6) office hours each week, which may vary depending on workload.
*Create, maintain, and update resources for vendor contacts and information.

*One Family Weekend event
*Major Concert
*Springfest

Pay Rate

$14.50-$15.00/hour

Required Qualifications

* Undergraduate student enrolled through May 2025.
* Available to work some evenings, which may include weekends.
* All student employees in the Dean of Students Office must maintain good academic (min. 2.5 cumulative GPA) and student conduct standing from the point of application through term of employment. The employer will check status at the beginning and the end of each semester of employment.

Work Hours

This position requires approximately 8 hours per week but will vary depending on events. Will require some nights, which may include weekends. The position is continuous May 2024 - May 2025.
