Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, managing and directing all manufacturing, plant engineering, customer service, and materials management functions for the Tulsa location. Responsible to meet plant, division, and corporate goals and objectives consistent with established policies and procedures and to ensure safe and efficient operations, satisfy customer requirements and maintain profitability.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to plan, schedule, organize and staff manufacturing and manufacturing support functions. Assures that all functions within the manufacturing organization are properly staffed and coordinated, and that personnel are properly qualified, directed and trained to perform their responsibility at a high level.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creation, submittal, approval and implementation of objectives, strategies and business plans.

  • Responsible for business planning to include operating budgets, capital budgets, sales budgets and overall management and control of this plant.

  • Accountable for profit and loss of the plant.

  • Leads subordinates to produce products and components of the highest quality, lowest cost and delivered on time to customers, utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Complies with overall safety and environmental government regulations and internal company policies to insure a safe workplace for employees and environmental responsibility and stewardship.

  • Responsible for standard margins and variances for all manufacturing locations.

  • Participate in setting strategies for manufacturing operations. Support and communicate the strategies and objectives to employees.

  • Develop and implement near and long-term capital projects

  • Implement processes to attain continuous improvement in all areas of including, but not limited to, safety, cost of quality, productivity and asset management.

  • Ensures that employee relations programs are in place to maintain a non-union environment.

  • Establishes and maintains effective communications program to keep plant employees informed of conditions, schedules, corporate initiatives and other pertinent information.

  • Manages performance appraisal program for manufacturing employees to insure consistent measurement of performance.

  • Establishes plant operating budgets to meet cost standards and maintain product margin goals.

  • Involves corporate and division resources when necessary to address opportunities or resolve problems that may require more resources than at hand.

  • Maintains open communications with Product Engineering with regard to design problems, product performance, new product start-up and test results.

  • Develops and manages manufacturing controls to assure that production schedules are achieved to meet sales requirements. Includes the timely machining of material and assembly of parts to fulfill production schedules without adding unnecessary cost to inventory expense.

  • Coordinates customer requirements with division sales, marketing and plant materials management.

  • Maintains open communications with sales and marketing personnel regarding capacity constraints and operating problems that may affect forecasts.

  • Conducts periodic production status meetings with staff, reviewing performance with respect to master schedule and develop action plans to deal with variances.

  • Plans and develops manufacturing facilities and equipment for efficient production of products.

  • Maintains good community relations.

  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ten (10) years' experience in plant operations, with at least three (3) of those in a plant manager role of similar scope.

Education and Experience:

  • Ten (10) years' experience in plant operations, with at least three (3) of those in a plant manager role of similar scope.

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or related field, MBA desirable

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

  • Must be able to travel occasionally to other manufacturing facilities and branches within the United States
