FLRAA System Design Integration Engineer - Configuration

As the Configuration Engineer for the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Program within Defence you'll be responsible for several key elements of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across the AE 1107F Program. The Configuration Engineer will be expected to work on all areas of the AE 1107F product including the control system, engine, and the exhaust system, providing configuration management applicable to the relevant program maturity through New Product Introduction (NPI) to Production. In this role, the Configuration Engineer will coordinate with other programs to ensure commonality and consistency, where applicable.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Management of the Product Structure within Teamcenter
  • Key User / SME for PLM tools which include NX / Teamcenter
  • Management of assembly / balance drawings
  • Interface Management; incorporating agreed upon ICDs into NX assembly
  • Support weight, center of gravity, and moments of inertia roll-ups
  • Signature authority for PLM on program
  • Maintain BOM, pBOM, eBOM databases
  • Apply configuration and design data management principles, develop Configuration Management Plans

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with experience in configuration management with 2+ years' experience, or
  • Masters in STEM discipline with experience in configuration management with 1+ years' experience.
  • To be considered for this position you must be a US citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience supporting the transition of a program from prototype / demonstrator phase to full production phase
  • Siemens PLM Teamcenter experience
  • SAP ERP - Configuration and Document Management experience
  • CMII Certification or willingness to complete certification
  • Geometric, Dimensioning, & Tolerancing (GD&T) experience
  • Basic understanding of engineering design, procurement, manufacturing and assembly
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment taking rational risks to meet customer deliverables
