We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Program Manager on our Human Resources team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a Program Manager, you will design, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives that promote inclusion and belonging across the enterprise, including creating internal resources, processes, and programs for the DEI team to support employee resource groups. Responsible for assessing the impact of DEI initiatives, infrastructure, and inclusion efforts within the AMA's existing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion framework. This role will collaborate with stakeholders and build cross functional relationships to drive DEI initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Management

  • Provide subject matter expertise in operationalizing inclusion across business units within the AMA. Develop, project manage and scale initiatives and programs to support AMA DEI objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate Employee Resource Groups (ERG) initiatives and assorted equity learning efforts; provide operational support for ERG initiatives, engaging external vendors and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) guiding and providing support on ideation and implementation of DEI efforts; document guidance and policies for ERGs, managing the infrastructure and education for ERG leaders.
  • Manage creation, implementation, technical support, and education around internal AMA resources and tools for the HR DEI team and other identified stakeholders.
  • Design/develop content for existing and new inclusion programs.
  • Identify and manage vendors/consultants.
  • Build and implement communications on inclusion efforts in collaboration with Employee Communications and identified HR partners.
  • Facilitate meetings and lead presentations to designated groups as needed to further advance inclusion and DEI learning.
  • Engage employees and stakeholders across all levels of the company in DEI efforts.
  • Provide operational support to HR DEI office as needed.

DEI Data & KPI's

  • Recommend and develop infrastructure to collect DEI KPI's; identify and define practical metrics for measuring progress and impact of workforce equity efforts.
  • Design and implement data gathering tools/surveys to support DEI priorities and objectives.
  • Collect and review pertinent data and information to make recommendations regarding short term and long-term HR DEI objectives.
  • Track and compile data for reports, write reports, develop presentations including data visualization, to be presented to key stakeholders.
  • Present findings to key stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Manage the process of coordinating and assembling data pertinent to producing the HR DEI annual report.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience required.

2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in diversity, workforce equity, and inclusion with experience managing and evaluating programs required.

3. Demonstrated experience in workforce equity KPI's, data gathering, analysis and interpretation to inform priorities.

4. Demonstrated experience with project management, operational planning, leading the implementation and evaluation of multi-faceted, cross departmental projects, and managing projects from concept to delivery within budget and agreed upon timeframes.

5. Proven knowledge of how equity and inclusion function as part of DEI best practices and demonstrated through a data-driven approach to DEI programs and initiatives.

6. Culturally responsive with the ability to establish and maintain relationships across identity dimensions and leadership ranks.

7. Effective communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to inform, persuade and collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues from various clinical, technical, and business backgrounds.

8. Demonstrated presentation, public speaking, and facilitation skills with high emotional intelligence and exceptional application of judgement and discretion.
