Job Description
What You'll Do

  • Perform plan review and inspections for Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Roofing disciplines according to candidate's license certifications
  • Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy
  • Determine if the permitted Design Plans may require revisions and make recommendations to the Contractors, Engineers and/or Architect
  • Detect deviations from the plans, regulationsm and standard construction practices
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Follow ECS safety procedures and policies

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Post-secondary education and experience which totals four (4) years, with one (1) year of such experience in building construction
    • Total combined experience may include experience as a Project Manager, Job Superintendent, Builder, Supervisor, Foreman, and/or Competent mechanic in charge of construction
  • At least one of the following licenses is required for this position:
    • State of Florida Standard Inspector License (BN), State of Florida Plans Examiner License (PX), State of Florida Registered Architect (RA), State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Knowledge of the current codes and regulatory standards governing the Florida Building Construction industry
  • If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
