Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems liaison officer to represent the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO) at the U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) in Colorado Springs, CO. The incumbent will provide on-site Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) subject matter expertise and facilitate information exchange between the JCO and the supported organizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate good analytic and organizational skills and have the ability to take complex findings and reduce them to meaningful takeaways and actionable items for decision-makers.

Duties will include:

  • Represent JCO on-site in NORTHCOM.
  • Maintain situational awareness of JCO organization structure, authorities, roles, responsibilities, and activities; maintain relationships within JCO and other stakeholder organizations to facilitate customer support.
  • Attend JCO Governance and Sub-working group meetings and communicate relevantdevelopments/initiativesto the NORTHCOM customer.
  • Attend monthly JCO LNO virtual synchronization meetings and travel to attend the quarterly JCO LNO conference usually held in National Capital Region.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to any JCO team members visiting NORTHCOM, e.g., scheduling appropriate office calls, entry access requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emergent C-sUAS systems and technologies within supported organization's area of responsibility.
  • Assist in developing, synchronizing, and integrating DoD efforts for C-sUAS systems.
  • Prepare written products (reports, info papers, executive summaries) to shape and defend JCO or supported organization positions.
  • Represent the JCO in C-UAS-related forums or meetings as required.
  • Draft responses to high-visibility stakeholder Requests For Information (RFIs).
  • Maintain awareness of NORTCOM C-sUAS operations, intelligence, requirements and initiatives and apply knowledge of these activities to facilitate successful outcomes for common NORTHCOM / JCO objectives.
  • Prepare and present briefings to JCO and CCMD leadership and stakeholders.
Job Requirements

  • Top Secret/SCIlevel security clearance is required
  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • 15+ years of related work experience
  • Must have a basic understanding of the Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) mission
  • Senior Military Staff experience required

Additional Notes:

This position is onsite with the supported organization. Some travel to JCO headquarters in Arlington, VA is required and travel throughout the NORTHCOM area of responsibility is anticipated.
