Job Summary
Perform and analyze all diagnostic and interventional breast ultrasound procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative. Utilizes appropriate techniques to ensure quality ultrasound images and accurate analytical results. Perform all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. Provide the best patient care and practice radiation safety standards at all times. Performs and analyze all ordered screening and diagnostic mammograms on all patients. Performs all additional view mammograms ordered by the Radiologist. Perform all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. Provide the best patient care and practice radiation safety standards at all times. Assists the Radiologist and or Surgeon with special procedures, consulting with the Radiologist, when necessary, including stereotactic, needle localizations, and ultrasound guided biopsies. Knowledge of sterile technique. Properly fills out appropriate laboratory slips and transport specimens to correct destination. Provides proper wound care and wound checks.Qualifications:
