Position

We are seeking a high energy, experienced market intelligence and competitive insights director with superior analytic and problem-solving skills with expertise in the global retail and institutional markets. Our team partners with sales leaders, finance and business managers to deliver insights to help drive strategic initiatives and help influence the decision making process. We are looking for an individual who is collaborative, agile and ready to roll up their sleeves. In addition to in-depth subject matter expertise, you'll need to continually keep pace with the changing technology landscape.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering market insights leveraging proprietary and third-party data to help measure Allspring's market position and distribution strengths and opportunities at the channel, geographical and product levels. You will have demonstrable experience working with asset management industry, product and firm specific data for the US and Global markets across retail and institutional channels.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership across Distribution COO and sales teams to help drive strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver timely and relevant information to all key stakeholders, including Allspring Board of Directors, Allspring Senior Management, and Distribution Pillar Leaders.
  • Translate and analyze large disparate data sets into concise storyboards, identifying key insights across the global asset management industry by channel, vehicle and asset class/product.
  • Own engagement with various data vendors and consortiums.
  • Be an excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple technical and business stakeholders and senior leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in business analytics, business operations, data management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years' experience in the asset management industry with extensive knowledge and understanding of the global retail and institutional channels, across investment vehicles and products, including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and CITs.
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient/advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry data tools; Simfund, Morningstar, eVestment, Brightscope, Broadridge, Walletshare.
  • Strong presentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment.
  • Able to multitask and work well under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Able to develop financial models in Excel or other analytics tools.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to acquire new concepts and skills quickly.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly recognize and resolve problems.

Base Pay Range: $105,000-$120,000


Salary Range for NYC candidates only.Actual based may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
