Description

ENG (ENG) is a 40 year old publicly listed (NASDAQ:ENG) EPF contractor (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication) focused on innovative delivery of cost-effective solutions.

ENGs expertise reaches three main market verticals: Oil & Gas, Energy & Renewables, Government, Automation & Integration. Services include EPF/ C(m) (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction (Management)) projects that are largely completed internally.

Job Description:

Seeking a strong Electrical & Instrument Designer / Draftsman with Oil & Gas and/or refining experience. This position will work directly with discipline engineers and technicians to create electrical and instrument installation drawings and deliverables meeting client design requirements and schedule. This position requires strong skills working current versions of AutoCad software. The ideal candidate will be familiar with materials and equipment associated with oil and gas transport, refining/processing and associated facilities, such as compressor and pump stations, valve sites, meter stations, storage facilities, terminals, and refineries.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Familiarity with applicable codes such as NFPA 70, 70E, API RP 500, etc.
  • Preparation of various electrical calculations, voltage drop, conduit fill, and cable tray fill.
  • Have a good understanding of facility requirements including one-line diagrams, area classifications, control schematics, interconnect wiring diagrams, plans, details, and cable schedules.
  • Preparation of E/I design drawings using AutoCad software.
  • Cadworx 3D Modeling experience preferred.
  • Review engineering drawings and designs.
  • Prepare deliverables on time to applicable codes and client standards.
  • Gather field data and evaluate existing facilities, along with research of client standards and specifications, to accomplish project execution.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School diploma and Technical college degree preferred, but degree not required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum experience required is 4 years.2 years field experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must have experience using AutoCad / Cadworx, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Outlook.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Requires excellent oral communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in speech and writing to other team members and client personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong Mathematical skills required.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to identify CAD drafting problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to make decisions on specific project items which will promote the achievement of overall project objectives.
  • Ability to review engineer's marks and follow through with the design intent.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Focused on always providing quality, value driven results.
  • Ability to work in a team environment including across office locations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, occasionally in excess of a normal 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon-Thurs and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. schedules.
  • Ability to travel freely within the United States as needed.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC card, DISA clearance and BOP+ training
