Description

ENG (ENG) is a 40 year old publicly listed (NASDAQ:ENG) EPF contractor (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication) focused on innovative delivery of cost-effective solutions.

ENGs expertise reaches three main market verticals: Oil & Gas, Energy & Renewables, Government, Automation & Integration. Services include EPF/ C(m) (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction (Management)) projects that are largely completed internally.

The Mechanical Engineer position will be located in our Tulsa, OK office. This position is responsible for the production of safe, technically accurate and cost effective mechanical and piping system and equipment designs and associated deliverables for oil and gas production and processing facilities. Responsibilities include compliance with applicable codes, specifications and industry standards, and completion of work within project budget and schedule.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Perform hydraulic simulations as required to determine pressure drop in piping systems and to determine requirements for sizing new pumps, compressors, and other process equipment.
  • Develop sizing information for Process Equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.) and provide information for equipment data sheets.
  • Define process conditions for design and specification of mechanical equipment.
  • Prepare bid tabs for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
  • Review and comment on mechanical design drawings including P&ID's.
  • Support FEED studies including providing capital cost estimates.
  • Prepare piping specifications based on industry standards and client requirements.
  • Perform line sizing calculations and develop line list.
  • Perform piping stress analysis calculations.
  • Work with discipline groups to ensure piping and equipment information is being properly communicated throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Verify completeness and quality of work performed.
  • Communicate well with project team members and interface directly with Clients.
  • Ability to work in a team environment including across office locations.
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience with relevant equipment (pumps, compressors, tanks, etc.) and projects (midstream, downstream/refining).
  • Familiarity with applicable industry codes such as ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, API 610/617/618/650, etc.
  • Ability to review Client standards with applicable industry standards to implement design for projects.
  • Hydraulics software and/or stress analysis software (Caesar II) experience a plus but not a requirement.
  • P.E. Certification preferred but not required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Willingness to engage in professional associations preferred.
