PURPOSE
FormFactor is looking for a Buyer to fill a reg. fulltime role in our Livermore, CA location. Primary focus of this position is to coordinate purchase of materials to support manufacturing and ensure adequate inventory to support orders. Will work with a variety of suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality that meet business requirements. This position will enter purchase orders, verify order information, track order confirmation, monitoropen orders, follow-up with suppliers and keep ERP system (Oracle) updated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain inventory safety stock.
  • Interface with accounting and receiving to resolve problems.
  • Confirm delivery information and availability of materials.
  • Expedite and shortage mitigation with suppliers.
  • Communicate schedule risk to planners and applicable stakeholders.
  • Manage return orders to suppliers.
  • Eliminate root causes of availability issues.
  • Negotiate cost savings.
  • Identify material shortage risks and take action to mitigate.
  • Onboarding Suppliers and verifying documents
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • ERP experience a must (Oracle a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Management, Engineering or related field
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both suppliers and internal customers.
  • Data management skills, including Excel a plus.
  • Strong analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $64,200 and $84,210. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
