Position: Performance Analyst - Crown Legacy

Department: MLS NEXT Pro - Crown Legacy FC

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Head Video Coach

Status: Full-Time (Exempt)

About Charlotte FC

Charlotte FC played its inaugural season in Major League Soccer in 2022. The club set an MLS attendance record in its opening game with over 74,000 spectators in Bank of America Stadium and has been at the top of MLS in attendance throughout its first two seasons. The club has a fully funded player development pathway that is tasked with identifying and developing professional players from across the Carolinas and beyond to play in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Position Summary

The Crown Legacy Performance Analyst will be key in supporting the development and performance of the Crown Legacy team by leading the day-to-day delivery of video analysis, data analysis, and preparation of materials relating to training, opposition, match, and scouting reports.

Primary Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties:

Training Sessions

Film, code, and database training sessions according to team principles

Opposition

Lead in opposition analysis for all Crown Legacy opponents in conjunction with coaching staff

Live Match

Film in wide angle & live code all Crown Legacy games to club's playing philosophy and principles.

IDP

  • Assist and aid in the delivery of individual development plans for each member of the Crown Legacy side.
  • Database, track, and develop individual learning objectives for each player within Crown Legacy.
  • Manage Hudl Library and disseminate individual clips to players.

Technology Management

  • Managing all video analysis software and equipment to maximize efficiency and delivery of video to coaching staff immediately after training and matches.
  • Assist in delivering video presentations and reports to players and coaches.
  • Understanding all technical best practices relative to the performance analysis field
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of work experience as an Analyst working with major analysis software (Hudl, SportsCode, Studio, and Wyscout).
  • Good knowledge of soccer.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively give messages to coaches and players.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel).
  • Familiarity and experience filming sporting events from a coaching perspective
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Flexible depending on team's schedule including evenings/weekends and travel to away games as needed.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Ability to work independently and in a group and handle several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to react quickly and positively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information with carefully and with sensitivity.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Lift at least 20 pounds

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outside in stadium facility environments. Candidate must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to work remotely as assigned by management and based on current business needs.
