Job Description

Following established ECH guidelines; the Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs and records Electroencephalographic (EEG), Continuous EEG (c.EEG), and Transcranial Doppler (TCD) procedures. Provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technical supervision. This role is eligible for the EEG Charge Tech assignment. May be requested to perform routine EKG and/or Stress Test Procedures within candidate's skill set and/or level of training.

Qualifications

Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program, or an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired.

Equivalent EEG training may be approved by the Medical Director and/or EEG Manager based on candidate's other qualifications and level of experience.

Knowledge of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology

Knowledge and practice of electrical safety relevant to Neurodiagnostic equipment

Knowledge of computer equipment and software used in functional area

Strong, well-developed communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and able to work independently, under stressful conditions

In addition to EEG and c.EEG, experience in performing Transcranial Doppler (TCD) is preferred

EKG experience is preferred; candidate must be willing to be cross-trained and perform EKGs

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

Current BLS certification

Salary Range:

$51.09 - $63.51 USD Hourly
